This collection is inspired by the current social climate. The intent is to bring back a sense of familiarity and calmness while also incorporating bright colors and texture.
Decay occurs with the help of fungi and bacteria. When the process of decay begins new textures are created. These hand painted wall paper swatches show texture interpretations that can be created through decay.

Decay is something that gets over looked, even though it is necessary to exist. After exploring decomposition, rusting and destruction, drastic changes occur. Looking towards natural things that could decay, like the body, helped inspire this free formed piece. The body is something that is ever changing, that can tear and atrophy, but fix itself in the end. I have created a fabric form that changed over time, its form looks completely different then when it started. It had gone through some of the stages of decay and has ultimately become something new.
